3/6/25 – Ragnar Energy Solutions is pleased to announce a series of strategic collaborations with leading industry partners: Breeze Design AS (Norway), Mirai Ships Inc. (Japan), and Joong-Ang Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (Korea). These partnerships mark a significant step in the company’s continued efforts to drive sustainable innovation in offshore vessel development and support the global transition toward clean energy.
The collaboration with Breeze Design AS, a Norwegian firm renowned for its portfolio of over 4,000 vessel designs, reflects a shared commitment to advancing sustainable maritime solutions. Through this partnership, Ragnar will play a pivotal role in introducing Breeze’s proven designs to markets across Southeast Asia and Oceania. These designs span a range of applications, including short-sea shipping, coastal transport, offshore energy, and specialized project vessels. Breeze will provide exclusive designs for specialized offshore wind vessels, such as Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) and Service Operation Vessels (SOVs)—to be constructed in Japan and Korea through Ragnar’s long-standing partnerships with regional shipyards.
Ragnar will continue to provide engineering and project management support throughout the construction process. Together, both companies are committed to exploring broader opportunities where their combined expertise can deliver added value to clients in the evolving offshore and energy transition landscape.

In Japan, Ragnar has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Breeze Design AS and Mirai Ships Inc. to jointly design, develop, and construct a new generation of offshore wind vessels tailored to the unique requirements of the Japanese market. This includes CSOVs, Mini-CSOVs, SOVs, and other steel-hull vessels suited for offshore energy operations. The collaboration aims to deliver technically advanced, operationally efficient, and sustainability-aligned vessels that support Japan’s growing offshore wind sector and contribute meaningfully to its national clean energy goals.

Further strengthening its presence in Northeast Asia, Ragnar has also entered into an MoU with Joong-Ang Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (JAHI) and Breeze Design AS to jointly deliver high-performance offshore vessels for the offshore and wind market within and beyond Korea. This is to address the needs of the country’s expanding offshore wind industry as well as the international offshore market. This partnership combines JAHI’s robust shipbuilding capabilities, Breeze’s cutting-edge design expertise, and Ragnar’s leadership in engineering and project management. By integrating Norwegian design, Korean manufacturing, and Southeast Asian project execution, the three companies are developing a bundled, turnkey vessel solution customized for Korea’s offshore energy sector.

These strategic partnerships underscore Ragnar’s mission to foster impactful cross-border collaborations that combine global expertise with local insight. As the offshore wind industry continues to grow across Asia, Ragnar remains committed to enabling its development through innovation, strategic alignment, and sustainable engineering solutions.
